Well, this is the beginning of something I hope is fun for you and for me. I'm entering the world of blogging in several areas.

First a little about me and how I got to where I am.

Four years ago I bought my husband a digital camera for his birthday. A Sony FD-92 or something like that. A cool little point and shoot camera. I was always a film idiot, could never get the film to load correctly. A no clue what an F-stop or ISO was. But I fell in love with this little camera. He rarely got to use it.

I started scrapbooking with Creative Memories and wanted to take better pictures of my kids so I did what anyone would do in this day and age, went to Google and Yahoo to learn what makes a good image.

I met a wonderful group of moms interested in the same thing - scrapping and taking better pictures. We were all on the same level and grew with each other. Eventually I started taking pictures of other friends children. Then a couple of weddings for friends who couldn't afford a real professional photographer. And I found my new passion!

I opened my business part time out of my home in January 2004 and in August 2004 went full time with it. We opened our studio September 2005 and have been growing since then! Oh and I've upgraded equipment, not using the Sony anymore :)

Be sure to bookmark this blog and check back often. We have lots of surprises and give aways coming soon!

    Hi Donna,

Thanks for including your photography history here. I also love scrapbooking - started when the twins were born. I definitely need to do more research on how to take a good photo though - I've learned great scrapbook pages are dependent on great photos.
Have you delved into the digital scrapbook world?

    Thanks Beverly,

Yes I found digital scrapbooking and sold every piece of paper, sticker, marker - everything I had. It's much easier with little ones to sit down at the computer and make one page without dragging everything out and setting up to spend 30 minutes making a page then cleaning back up.

    It IS great :)

    Beverly & Donna,

Wow, I had no idea digital scrapbook existed until I read this! Thanks for sharing. I've often wondered how to make it easier than dragging out my dust filled supplies. I have quite a bit of paper, rubber stamps, etc. that haven't been used in years. You opened up a new hobby for me. Thanks for sharing. Have any suggested websites, software you'd recommend for a novice?

Sherry, a great software is Lumapix, they have web groups and ideas too. www.lumapix.com - very inexpensive software, it will be your new best friend. Then just google for digital scrapbook stores. You can buy your kits - digital papers, stickers, elements, fonts etc.

www.twopeasinabucket.com is a great forum too.
