Valentine's LE Session this Friday

What fun!!
Last night was our Ladies Night Out Limited Edition. We had a few cancellations but the ones who showed up really had fun I think. Their portraits turned out beautiful! We had a wonderful hair & makeup artist available and she was wonderful! She is from Urban Eve Salon in Lake Jackson, and I highly recommend you checking them out if you aren't familiar with them already. Jennifer & Jason Culverhouse have brought a wonderful urban experience to our community.

The Donna's Bored Special
Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy having my studio and being able to create portraits inside no matter the weather. But I'm feeling boxed in and want to do something different. With all the rain lately, maybe I'm just getting cabin fever. So I'm ready to do something different. I want to take some small children outside. If it's rainy that's OK, bring them some rain boots, rain coat and umbrella (as long as it's not pouring), if it's nice weather lets take them downtown for some urban style portraits, or just taking them to the park and let them play for a while. I need to get out of my box!

Brazos Mall Bridal Affair
We had a very successful day yesterday at the Mall. It was so nice meeting so many brides and seeing how excited they are about planning their special day.

One thing I try to encourage every bride to do: don't skimp on your wedding photographer. Even if the cost is more than expected or want to pay, remember when the day is over, your pictures are all you will have left to remember it. When interviewing wedding photographers, make sure you see a complete wedding. Any photographer can showcase their favorite images, but you want to see a complete product so you are not disappointed.

To see the tears in their eyes as they realize how truly fearfully and wonderfully they were created blesses me tremendously. It’s not all just about beauty. Beauty alone is corruptible and fleeting, but the purity and innocence of the heart and character is lasting.
My desire is that not only will I create images that capture one’s beauty, but that also reveal the character of the heart.
