New Family Portrait Style - "Real Family"

We now offer a different type of family session. Our Real Family session is a black background with dark clothing. All the posing is close and intimate focusing on the family itself, not the background or props. I recently did one of these session with my mother-in-law and all her grandchildren. Some of you may know she has brain cancer and we don't know how much time we have left with her. So these portraits were very important for me to have for my children when they get older (read note at bottom of this thread).

Open House - Ribbon Cutting

Next Friday, October 6 is our Ribbon Cutting with the Chamber of Commerce. The ribbon cutting is scheduled for noon, but the open house will be 11am-4pm. We invite everyone to come out and check out the studio. We'll have drawings and gifts for everyone. Giving free sessions, print credits, other gifts and one lucky person will receive a free 16x20 canvas art portrait!

So stop by from 11am-4pm and get your gift! We are located on Hwy 35 in Angleton in the Subway/CVS shopping center, next door to the TaeKwonDo Academy.

Senior Models - First contest starting now

OK - all our senior models, get those referrals in! To get credit for a referral a friend must call to book AND pay for their session fee. They must mention you as their referring Model.

Every Model who has one referral (September 1 - October 25) will be eligible to be in the drawing for an 8 image Montage Folio! This is a product not available for purchase. These are gifts/incentives only! So you can't just buy this!

It's a great 10x10 folio with 8 images collage style.

So get those referrals in! We'll have a sample of the folio online in a few days.

My New Muse

According to Websters Dictionary:

muse - a source of inspiration.

I have found my muse. It's the second time I've had the privilege of photographing this cutie. She never really smiles but I always fall in love with her! Sometimes parents are disappointed that we don't catch the real smiles (sometimes any smiles) from their little ones, but their honest, natural expressions are priceless and capture their personality. Here once again is Ava.

By the way, for all other at this Portrait Party, your sessions should be finished later on this evening.

Congratulations Brandi & Josh!

We did their engagement session this week. Their wedding is a mere 2 months away! I told Josh he needed to practice his "real" smile in time for the wedding :) These guys were alot of fun to hang out with - congratulations guys and good luck! I can't wait for the wedding!
